In May of 2022 the students and teachers of Robb Elementary in Uvalde, TX lived a nightmare when an active shooter entered and remained in their school. Communities and businesses worldwide immediately wondered how they could help the educators that endured the unthinkable. The teachers of Uvalde have returned to teaching this year. They have returned to their classrooms, and they have returned to their students. Educators are required to receive professional development and training each year to keep their certifications current, this includes the teachers of Uvalde. The Teach Your Heart Out Cruise provides in-service points they can use for professional development, in an atmosphere that supports and uplifts teacher as they continue healing. We would like to honor and acknowledge the tremendous personal and professional growth they have accomplished this year and invite all 110 of the teachers of Uvalde to the Teach Your Heart Out Cruise, at no cost to them. The cruise is July 6th - 10th, 2023. We know this will not be an easy undertaking, but with the help of donations from amazing businesses and partnerships, we can work together and make this a reality. We are hoping to partner with companies that can donate money or services so all of the teachers have the amazing opportunity to experience a PD at Sea.
